Jenny Sauer-Klein
Founder + CEO, The Primary Shift
Jenny Sauer-Klein is a pioneer in experience design and the founder of Scaling Intimacy, a training company that teaches organizations how to craft events that drive deep connection, learning, and transformation. With over 20 years of experience across experiential education, arts, and organizational culture, she helps leaders reimagine how people gather—whether it’s for onboarding programs, leadership summits, or large-scale conferences. Jenny was also the co-founder of AcroYoga, where she built a global community and learned firsthand how to scale intimate, in-person experiences – skills she later passed on to Responsive's Executive Director, Robin, during their early work together.
Jenny and Robin have been longtime friends and collaborators, with a connection that predates Responsive itself. Her work has been featured at SXSW, Wisdom 2.0, TEDx, and LinkedIn Talent Connect. She is also the creator of Play On Purpose, a video tutorial library of 80+ team-building games, and a driving force behind The Conference for Conferences, a high-impact lab for event creators. Jenny’s signature approach transforms passive programming into interactive experiences that are actionable, inclusive, and (most importantly) fun.
The Conference for Conferences: Designing Gatherings That Actually Work
Most conferences promise inspiration and connection. Too many end up as a blur of slide decks, surface-level networking, and disengaged audiences. In this hands-on daylong intensive, Jenny Sauer-Klein – founder of Scaling Intimacy and creator of the Culture Conference – offers a new way forward.
Taking place the day before Responsive Conference and designed for event organizers, program leads, and in-house facilitators, this pre-conference Conference dives into the how of transformational gatherings. You’ll deconstruct traditional formats like keynotes and panels and co-create better, more human-centered alternatives. Along the way, you’ll learn practical tools rooted in experience design, behavioral science, and adult learning, while participating in a live demonstration of what great facilitation looks and feels like. Come ready to collaborate, reimagine, and redesign the way we gather.
